Like a little bird ...

... she came and she went!

Oh how I wanted to see Annie Lennox last night! She performed at the Teatro at Monte Casino in an "unplugged and personal" concert! I asked P SO nicely to get tickets. First he said they were too expensive ... then he said NOTHING! In my own little mind I thought he was going to surprise me! On Sunday afternoon Les called and asked me whether P got the tickets. I started to laugh and said wrong person to ask. Well, she was so embarrassed, but she had planted a seed! I actually forgot about it, and then on Tuesday evening it dawned on me, "I'm going to the concert!"
I had a dreadful day at work on Thursday and was looking forward to going home and having an early night. But in the back of my mind I still thought about Annie Lennox and tried to keep my hopes up! Ha! Until 18h30 I still expected P to walk inside and say "Come on, get ready we're going to the concert!" Well, time came and went. P came home from his meeting ... and I continued to lie on the couch!! He really couldn't get tickets! I heard on the radio this morning that tickets were as rare as hens teeth, but that the concert had been awsome!
Oh well! No worries! I guess I'll just go and buy myself her greatest hits and a bottle of champagne and share it with my friends at Cook-out on Sunday!

One can hope, can't one? Now the question is: Did he try or didn't he? I'm sure he did. Oh well, the cd will have to do.

I didn't even know about it!

I think the greatest hits is a great alternative.

Oh what a disappointment! But it's nice that P tried - he must have been disappointed too not to be able to surprise you.

The CD and champagne sound good! Annie Lennox has such a wonderful voice. (We've got Necky Becky practising a new song with the Stiffnex band in our cellar this evening - time to get the ear-defenders out!!)
