'Tis the season to be jolly I guess! It all started this month - Christmas parties and late nights! I had my book club party last night! We went to a restaurant in Little Falls called "Cattle Baron". Never been to that particular one before and it wasn't too bad! I must say that I have had better food, but the company more than made up for it! I was a bit disappointed as my rump steak was a bit tough and over-done, but my starter of camembert with cranberry jelly was do die for! We swopped gifts (as well as lots of gossip!) and I was given a stunning pair of Betty Boop slippers! I'll have to hide them from Alexandra - she's a Betty Boop fan! It was so funny because Karen, who drew my name, filled my parcel with tiny silver snowflakes - I managed to sprinkle them ALL over the floor without realising that they were even there!
We're off to Bloemfontein for the week-end! Tonight we're going to the 41'ers Christmas Party and tomorrow night we have Tania's 40th! Niunia has booked us brunch at a place "Iewers Nice" in Reid Street - new place for us and it sounds divine! So, it will be another week-end of festivities and fun! Heaven help the waistline ... but I won't go down that road now ... we'll enjoy for now and deal with that one in January!

You could always eat salad ;) LOL!
Sounds like you had a fab evening.
The last book I read just for the sake of reading a good book was 'The Bell Jar' by Sylvia Plath these days I am plowing my way through books for my degree and somehow the 'fun' has gone out of reading - but having just read your blog :) books, meal out and friends sounds the way forward!!
