Mama Mia!

Having lunch at Primi!

Christmas Morning!

Our Sweet Girls On Christmas Eve!

The Precious Van Rooyen Family!

Here we go again! Have had s stunning Christmas ... all tired out from eating, drinking, talking and singing! Niunia and I are DEFINITELY entering Idols next season LOL! As I sit and update my blog today (thanks Davey) I can hear Mama Mia in the background. Beryl, you were right. Move over Sound Of Music!

Seriously though, it's been wonderful. We arrived on Christmas Eve and went to Arnie and Ianthe and had a lovely evening with their special family. The guys ended up playing Wii (ten pin bowling) until the early hours. Santa came to visit and we were all very spoilt. I got a beautiful pendant from P ... lucky girl! We spent Christmas day at home. P did a turkey in the Weber, Niunia made a gammon - boiled and then roasted in Cider. We had roast potatoes, my famous strawberry salad, asparagus steamed in butter and herbs and caramelized carrots! Ended off with trifle and chocolates! Yum! Boxing Day was spent taking a nice walk and we had lunch at Primi Piatta at the Waterfront. Early evening for some of us! P and Niunia chatted until the early hours!

Today it has rained a bit, which has made a nice change to the incredible heat! Boy - it's been like 35 degrees C. What a wonderful time we have had together! Family, friends and loads of love and laughter! That's what its all about, when all is said and done ...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all at once. Our Christmas was spent camping at the Gariep Dam and Christmas lunch was potjie. It was the first Christmas just as a family without all the oumas and oupas, oom en tannies around. New Year we spent at Cannon Rocks near Port Alfred and just took it easy.
