Belinda saw another specialist yesterday at the Wilgeheuwel Hospital - he has re-admitted her and says she is NOT doing well! He looked at the x-rays and scans, plus all the reports. He treated her for severe migraines about 2 years ago and they had them under control. However, according to the results of the tests, he reckons that she had a severe migraine, the veins in the brain contracted which resulted in the clot getting caught, causing the stroke. He has changed her treatment and Hennie says she looked MUCH better last night. He is keeping her in hospital until everything is under proper control and then she will start rehab and physio.
He has told them that they have a long road ahead and that she will never be the same. Hennie told us that he will take things one day at a time, but unless things improve he might have to re-look at his position here. It will be a very sad day, should he decide to resign. We have worked so well together. But he has a young daughter and his family needs him now.
