I am a very proud Mum! Stacey was elected by the students in her year to represent them on the Damelin SRC (Student Council). She is a little at 6's and 7's about it, as its all new and she wants to know how much time its going to take up. She is very busy with her promotion work, and au pairing, but also knows how good this will look on her CV.
Apart from anything else, it will do a lot for her confidence. The other students must have faith in her as they put forward the nominations and then voted. Its a wonderful opportunity for her and I do hope she accepts it. However, she is the one who has to follow it through, so it must be her choice as well.
Besides all the pros and cons I am very proud of her! She has grown up such a lot since coming home. Her marks have improved tremendously, she has made so many friends and now this! She is going to meet with the academic this afternoon to hear more about it and what it entails.
I do hope she accepts as it will expose her to so much more!
