Since moving in with my brother, I haven't found it necessary to unpack all my good and shackles, but have taken things slowly. I have so many boxes to go through. I thought I had done a good clean out when I packed up, but funny how I have still found odds and ends, that need to go!
Tonight I decided to go through another one of my boxes and guess what I found .... a little Treasure Box that reminds so much of my grandmother, Gayva! My precious Mum's Mum, who I was very close too. Funny how that was today .... I woke up this morning feeling quite heart-sore .... I missed my Mum today and then tonight I found this special box. So full of wonderful memories!
I used to lie on the carpet as a little girl, my Mum and "Gayva" used to bring out the buttons and we'd build pictures with them. We'd do French knitting on the old wooden cotton reels. They taught me how to knit and how to sew a hem.
With it's old broken hinges, there wasn't a single thing I could get rid of! I remember Mum helping stitch Stacey's name tags to her school clothes in Grade 1 ... so many wonderful memories!
I'm happy to be in a good space - even though I miss them so much, I know they're with me and I love how these simple things fill my heart with joy!

My Mum has a box like this full of odds and ends, random pics, jewellery. I love it!
Oh dear....I would keep everything also!!! They're most definitely treasures of the heart and soul!! Funny, tho, I used to 'play' with my grandmother's button collection too! What great memories, huh?
I have so many little things like this with sentimental value which I can't get over my heart to get rid of. Memories are an important part of life as well.
Lovely lovely memories to treasure
