Prayers for Mum!

Mum was admitted into hospital again last Friday, suffering from pneumonia. To cut a long story short, she was over hydrated via her drip, and ended up with too much fluid on her lungs resulting in a bad infection and she ended up in ICU on Thursday night.  On Friday she took a bad turn and ended up on a ventilator, and I was told to get our family together.  Dad and Colin arrived at 4 from Durban, Gill and Claire an hour or so later.  Being the fighter that she is, and having discovered that there is no cancer in her lungs, she is still determined not to let this beat her!  The cardiologist told us that she has a very strong heart, and although she is still critical, she is stable.  They started reducing the sedation levels, and she became very excited when we visited her, and nodded her head when we told her we would be back tomorrow.  It was clear that she did not want us to leave tonight.

I am convinced that she is going to pull through this, and we continue to pray for strength during this difficult time. Dad is staying on, while Colin and Gill go home tomorrow.

All in God's time!

I really hope your mom will get better so that you can get back to being your happy self again. From what you are saying it sounds like she isn't going to allow this to get her down that easily. Thinking of you.
