Whatever Next!

Stacey, at the ripe old age of 22 has MUMPS! Not only does she look like a chipmonk, but she is in agony. Dr confirmed and also told her that apart from rest and painkillers, there is nothing he can prescribe. Being a virus, antibiotics won't help. She starts her exams on Thursday, but they have agreed to let her write in isolation with a face mask! It's hectic! Luckily she didn't get this while she was with her Dad. He starts chemo on Friday and CANNOT be exposed to this horrible virus!

Pharmacist recomended she wear a mask all the time as this will help lessen the chances of contamination!

Poor girl! I do hope she feels better soon!

Poor girl! I'm sure no matter how old they are, it's still horrible knowing your baby is sick! Praying for a speedy recovery!!!

Oh no!!! I haven't had it either. Not the type of thing you want distracting you just before exams.

My sister got Mumps on the plane from her holiday a while back. I felt really sorry for her, looked like she has golfballs coming out the side of her neck. Thankfully it passed after acouple weeks. Hope her exams go okay!

I am sorry your baby is unwell, Janet. You have a lot to do in the coming days and I think you shall deal with it gracefully.

I adored your overcast picture in Joburg. Sometimes cloudy days are simply beautiful, x.
