Night of the Stars!

Autumn night had us getting ready to go to Monte Casino to see the latest production of Grease, and what a blast we had! Hopelessly Devoted to the music of the 50's and the fun of being back in High School! There were worse things we could do than have cocktails at @Monte before the show, preparing to Hand Jive!! Who should walk into the bar, none other than the Crusaders rugby team, who had just lost to the South African Bulls side in the super 14 rugby tournament, giving us a South African final! We're Greased Lightening!

Stacey with Richie McGaw (Capt of the Crusaders)

... and with Dan Carter!

Then we went to the Rock 'n Roll Party! Boy, those Hound Dogs performed! We were told that this production has made more money than The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Cats, which just goes to show that Rock 'n Roll is Here to Stay! After the show, we met up with Anton Luitingh, the resident director of the show. He also played the part of Vince Fontaine - the cheesy DJ! It was good catching up with him, and hearing his news. Next production he will be in will be Evita! Looking forward to that one!

Dinner had been booked at the Meat Co. so we went to the restaurant and settled down at our tables! A group of guys came and sat behind us and we had a discussion amongst ourselves and decided they had to be soccer players from Brazil or Spain! Ha! Yes, the spoke Spanish, but Tears on my Pillow, they were from Argentina and had NOTHING to do with Soccer, but were members of the Argentinian Equestrian Polo Club who had just beaten South Africa at all of their games! Well, we decided the Benji is the one that we want! We'd go together like ...

Oh come on! With a Blue Moon in the sky, and those Magic Changes, it was time to go home! We'd had a night with some stars and are looking forward to the next one!

Wow - awesome weekend! Stacey must have been in her element surrounded by hunks!
Thanks for your comment - hope I will improve - this morning is better than yesterday morning so hopefully I'm on the mend! Absolutely awful to feel not in control of the mind. Am going to try my yoga class this morning.

I think the chances of umping into stars in Jhb is so much better than in PE. Even if it is SA stars
