Ever since he was a little boy, my Uncle George has had the most amazing love for animals of any kind and he is drawn to them, and them to him like magnet!  It seemed only fitting that he should make a career of working with his favourite, thoroughbred race-horses.  We went to see him at his stables on Friday evening!

What a quiet, tranquil place it is to visit.  The horses had had their evening meal and they were closed up and ready for a good nights rest!  It was just cooling down - everything felt just perfect!

Dead quiet!  Not a sound other than the gentle cooing of the doves, the flicking of a tail here and there, soft blowing as these big animals settled for their nights rest, and the occasional fly, buzzing around!  Perfect Peace!

One inquisitive horse couldn't resist pushing his nose against the stable door and opening, to see who was there.  She wasn't very impressed with my camera and the flash!  I had to catch her with her ears up, eventually she obliged, gave me a look and a nod, turned around and went back to her food box!

I was quite intrigued when I saw stable #22.  I wondered who was in there!  Funny sounds coming out of that stable door - scratching and jumping - who was inside there?

... now who could it be?  Was there a midget horse inside or a tiny Shetland pony?  Who could tell!

Kiddies Korner!  Filled with bunnies of all shapes and sizes, doves of different types, some with tails like fans, others snow white with grey speckles!  Uncle George got this little spot going for the children who come and visit him!  It's absolutely delightful - healthy, happy and ready for a cuddle!

I have a feeling we'll be back soon!
