Surprise!

When I first started my blog little more than a year ago, I never imagined that I would "meet" so many wonderful people through blogging! I will never forget my first comment and how delighted I was to see that someone from over the sea had found, and was reading my blog!

Friendship is special bond, shared between people who become like extended family! On Friday afternoon, I went to our post box to collect post - normally the usual bills or advertisments! Imagine my surprise to find the prettiest envelope with little butterflies on it, addressed to ME! All the way from Canada!

Pam and I have been reading each others blog for a while now and she sent me such a special gift - a magnet for my fridge, a little book about the town she lives in, a pressed autumn leaf and the prettiest card with fairies on it! Thank you, thank you Pam, for caring and for sending me such a thoughtful gift. What a wonderful way start to my week-end and how special it has been to see how we have broken the barriers of distance through our blogs!

I found this quote by Rozina Hasham and I think it's perfect for all blogging friends out there. I am sure you will agree with me, although we have never met in person, through our blogs we "know" each other so well and value our special friendships.

"Though miles may lie between us, we're never far apart,
for friendship doesn't count the miles,
It's measured by the heart!"

I am so happy it arrived!

I just asked at the post office on Friday how long it should take to get to you. (It was just about four weeks) I was worried it would never arrive. Thanks, Janet for all your sweet words.

Hope you are having a great day.
