A little bit of Greece ...

It was raining last night - not just a drizzle or gentle drops, like real, hard, summer thundershowers - in AUTUMN? Some-one is confused, somewhere! It was so cold and miserable when I got home last night. Stephanie was over and the girls were working on an assignment. P had a work function so we decided to go and find a little sunshine - even it was only in our dreams!

We found our own little bit of Greece in Randburg at the Greek Sizzler!

It's always been a favourite of ours, ever since moving into the area. We worked out last night that we have been going there for more than 10 years and the food is always good. Nothing like a Melatsamelata (I just KNOW I got that wrong - but it does sound kind of right!) which is a brinjal, lemon and garlic dip and Skortalia - a super, duper strong garlic dip served on warm pita bread and a glass of wine to wash it down!

Coupled with a good few laughs and some Greek music we had a stunning evening!

Thanks Girls! It's always good to spend time chatting and hearing your view on things!

In the Banbury Cross centre - it's really a divine little place!

Looks like a very warm and inviting place to eat.

I've never really been to a Greek restaurant. Time for me to experience the culture.
