As young men between the ages of 18 and 40, our husbands were members of the Association of Round Tables in SA. The main aim of Round Table is to enjoy fellowship with people as well as organize fund raising events and community activities. Once they turn 40, they are axed and have to join the ranks of the 41ers! Well, as Philip is on National Council for 41 Club, we were invited to attend the ARTSA conference which was held in Bela Bela (Warmbaths) over the last week-end! The best part of course, was having Dave and Niunia and Bruce and Tania join us from Bloemfontein.
Meeting up and catching up with old friends
We drove through to the conference after work on Friday to attend the opening function. Although I have been to an ARTSA before, I had forgotten the excitement and comeraderie of the people, catching up and meeting up with old friends! The Friday night theme was “Regional T-shirts”! Tania did a magnificent job of designing our t-shirts – “Old but not Cold” – they were a huge hit and we got LOTS of compliments and requests for photographs!

looks as though you had fun - how is your friend John btw? Judith
He is fine thank you for asking Judith! His court hearing is in June. Until then ... we just wait! I will let you know of any news!
Doing a catch-up-with-blogs today/tonight!! Looks like you had fun over the weekend!
Ah more Show and Tell - I love your Show and Tell! What a beautiful tea set! My Mum gave me her set (only tea cups unfortunately) but a set of 12 - which she bought from a little old lady years ago. Also Royal Albert but don't know the name of it (it has red roses on it)- with investigation I would find out. But like most of my nice stuff it's packed away in a box!! Sad, hey!
Looks like a fun time had by all!
Looks like lots of fun. Old but not cold, hey? What happened at the event that you're not telling us?
Looks like a lot of fun. So glad you all had a grand time! And the t-shirts are a hoot.
Sounds like great fun!!!
