Not me Monday!

Lazy Sunday afternoon!  I did not wake up on Sunday morning, feeling as though I really couldn't face a day of cooking and being generally domesticated!  When Stacey offered to make a stuffed beef fillet for lunch, I did not turn up nose, thinking about the dishes that would have to be washed, and the table that would have to be set.  I did not suggest to Philip that we go out for lunch when clearly he felt like spending his time relaxing at home!  I did not consider Stacey's kind thought even though I knew that she really wanted to treat us to one of her new dishes!  I did not smile happily to myself when they agreed to go to the Greek Sizzler for lunch and have my tummy get butterflies when I thought of the warm pita bread with skortalia (garlic and lemon dip) that I was going to have as a starter!  We did have a lovely lunch though, and got home with full tummies!  I did not lie on the sofa immediately and watch "Wind in the Willows" with my sweet daughter and have childhood memories of reading the book a hundred years ago come flooding back!
I DID wake up refreshed and ready to face the new week with a happy heart!
Happy "Not me Monday" everyone!  Don't forget to go  MckMama's blog for more crazy stories!

I did not have one of those weekend during which the children drove us up the walls and the fact that we had a awesome time at a wedding on Saturday night did not make up for it. And most of all I am not thankfull for the rain falling this morning.

Wow.... your menus sound way better than mine... And I have "never" had one of those cooking at home equals dishes to be done days either. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I sure enjoyed yours! I'll be sure to visit again!

I do not blame you one bit for skipping on all the extra kitchen duty!

And I love skorthalia! I dated a Greek guy a lonngg time ago and miss all of the authentic food his family made! That takes me back many years.

Can't wait to see what all you have not done this week!

Have a great weekend,
Pam
