Thank you to Judith for introducing me to this idea! You have no idea the pleasure I have every day thinking about which of my special things I can share with everyone!
Carrol Boyes spent 11 years teaching and then decided to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. From humble beginnings in her home near Cape Town, she began making pewter (95% tin and 5% antimony and copper) tableware. She has added more products and is now using stainless steel which has proved to be a beautiful alternative. She often uses the human body as her inspiration. She believes that the human body is beautiful and charms everyone with her designs.
I started my collection of Carrol Boyes a number of years ago after receiving a sauce dish from Niunia. The bug bit, and although her items are not always within my budget, I have gathered a number of “bits and pieces”! I have all sorts, from teaspoons, to salad servers, some pewter and some stainless steal, but my favourite piece …
My absolutely best piece … (the piece I could not afford to buy myself) was a gift from my brother Rob for Christmas!
A Carrol Boyes pewter tea pot!

Oh wow, how stunning is that teapot!!
Hi there! Just wanted to say how gorgeous I think your pewterware is - that teapot is a real treasure. It looks so tactile (perhaps the word I mean is ergonomic??) - as if the handle would be a perfect fit in ones hand. Hope it brings you lots of joy! Have a lovely weekend, FeeBeeKay!
