Fire Fighters!
I could not resist adding this today - courtesy of Craig and the Somerset West Round Tablers! Thank you Craig for reminding me that these guys do good work and I take my hat off to them for giving of their free time to help. Remember I posted about the fires in Australia a while back? Well, these Round Table guys offered assistance to the Fire Fighting guys working on the Sir Lowry's Pass area. I take my hat off to them - thank you gentleman for being an example to us all!

yes indeed - anyone who does things voluntarily to help others do indeed need praise.
What a super gesture to volunteer to help out. Volunteers usually go unnoticed. My brother is part of the NSRI. These guys are all volunteers and they put their lives on the line to save others, for no remuniration at all. They also give up one weekend a month to man the base and all their personal expenses are out of their own pockets. The same would go for these round table fire fighter volunteers. Hats off to them.
Well done guys - the world is a better place because of people like you!
What an weird thing - to see the fire behind them and they are just standing there.

I 2nd Pam up there. So strange to see wild fires and think that people are calm enough to take pictures.
