Lazy Saturday Afternoon!

P is in the Drakensberg attending a 41 Club Exec meeting - I was supposed to go but decided against it and I am not sorry!  I have achieved so much!  One of our guest rooms was looking more like a study than anything else, and I have been meaning to climb in there and sort things out.  Well, finally this morning, I did just that!  I sorted out old photographs, went through old papers and got rid of a whole lot of junk!  P called a children's home last week and they are going to come by and collect what we don't want which they will use either for the children in the homes, or they will sell it and put the money to good use.  I am sitting down relaxing now, with an ice cold soda listening to my nieces playing in the garden ... giggles and laughter and a teeny tiny voice counting (she's now on "twenty eleven") while the older girls hide!  I love lazy Saturday afternoons, especially when I have done something constructive - now I deserve the rest! Going back to my brothers house for dinner tonight so I really am having time out!  Ooooh! Now I'm being offered a home baked cupcake by Erin, who baked them earlier this afternoon - YUM!  Time to sign off and be spoilt a little more ... ...

Hi, Janet!
Thanks for stopping by earlier. I've seen your name around but haven't had a chance to stop by yet. Can't wait to really check your blog out.

I'm going out on a limb here and "tagging" you. I didn't see any labels on your blog when I checked to see if you'd been tagged recently. I hope you don't mind and will play along! :)

Stop back by my place and see what it's all about if you're unsure.

Hi Janet! Thanks for stopping by and visiting me!
So happy to meet you, and so glad to find you through Kelli's show and tell:)
I love participating in that and also seeing all the other ladies' interesting treasures!

Wow,- South Africa--isn't blogging amazing that we can make friends around the world? I live near the capital of Wisconsin in the USA. We have about 5 inches of snow on the ground.

My son spent last summer in Uganda on an island in Lake Victoria fulfilling his college internship in social work and international studies. It was his second trip to Uganda.

I enjoyed visiting your blog and will come by again:)

You must have been sitting with your laptop outside! Don't you feel sooo good when you have cleaned out a room/cupboard etc and put everything back in order! A sense of satisfaction!! Backsberg Chardonney sounds good too - nicely chilled !! Just got onto computer now so I haven't done that email to my Mum ... and you have reminded me! Oops!
