Rubies!

In August 1965, a group of women marched to petition against pass laws and to change the future of women in South Africa.  We celebrate Women's Day on the 9th of August each year and this year will be no different.  Today I received my monthly Ruby Box, and was happy to see that they're celebrating with us this month with some rather exciting products.

What is a Ruby Box?  It's seems to be a rather new concept, which I have seen on a couple of other blogs and I am thrilled to be a part of it.

The subscription costs around $10 (USD) - that's about R100 and each month you receive a box of interesting goodies to try, the value of which often exceeds the cost.

I was delighted to receive my August box this afternoon and couldn't wait to open it up and see what was inside!

The pretty pink tissue paper hid some lovely treasures, the value of which was more than double the subscription price!

Esse Gel Cleanser (sample size) - a deep cleansing gel wash which helps improve circulation.

Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara (full size) - R99.95 value - a favourite amongst make-up artists.  Haven't tried this before, so am looking forward to giving it a go!

Paco Rabanne Lady Millio (sample size) - Sparkling but sensual perfume.

Professional Blush Brush (full size) - R120 value - perfect for defining cheek bones!

Nice - what a lovely way to celebrate Women's Day, with special treats for pampering. Now I look forward to trying them out, giving my views on  the Ruby Box website and earning some points, which I can use to purchase favourite products!

Thank you Rubies!
