Watering Cans!

While reading Judith's blog yesterday, I decided to look for my picture of watering cans which I knew I had somewhere! Here they are!

Watering cans have existed at least since the 17th century - obviously with a lot of improvements! It used to be called a "watering pot"! I love my can for watering delicate seedlings! But besides its usefullness, I think its rather cute - would make a nice flower pot, with pretty leaves and tiny flowers tumbling over its sides!

What could be more enchanting?

Oh yes - little flowers tumbling out of that little can would be pretty ... but then you would have to put holes at the bottom and then ... you wouldn't be able to use it !! Is that a hedgehog hiding near the small can or do I need my glasses on?
I also have different sized cans.

The best is an old steel watering can to plant something in.

I like the galvanized ones best but any kind will do for the watering. These days I tend to use a hose with a long attachment that has multiple settings and reaching far from me.
