Sunshine??

What do you do when the sun comes out for the first time in a week?

... Take some books and binoculars

... some good food,

... camping chairs

... friends and nice wine

... Animals

... And spend a wonderful day in the bush!  Don't forget the home-made lemonade and sunburn
OH! .....

Someone forgot the briquettes for the fire and had to beg, borrow and eventually buy some wood!!

Home-made Lemondade Recipe (with credit to Justin Bonello)
It's simply the best!

1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
(Dissolve sugar in water in a saucepan on stove - do not boil!)
Hand full of raisins
(Put sugar water and raisins in a jug and place in refridgerator over night)
Next morning fill the jug with ice and soda!
YUM!
(You could always add a tot of white rum to your drink - makes a stunning cocktail!)

No lemons or lemon juice in the lemonade. Thats new. I will try it. As for forgetting the briquettes. Last time we went to Addo Elephant National Park I unpacked everything to braai my boerewors rolls. Coolerbox, picnic basket, gas bottle ... and I forgot the skottel.

Sounds like my kind of day. I loved that you grabbed the food, wine and chairs.
Honey Bear was just remarking that we'd not had a fire on the porch since Thanksgiving or the week after. So, that is our plan the first evening that the temperatures are in the 40 degree range and no rain, ice or snow.

Glad the sun is shining again! You must be getting into your dog days of summer soon.
