I did it!

After weeks of planning to work in my garden, I eventually did on Saturday!  I woke up bright and early!  The sky was full of clouds and rain looked promising!  Our gardener, Justice arrived - he didn't pitch up last week-end :( so I had him mow the lawn first, just in case it rained!  Ha!  Within half an hour of me getting back from the nursery, the sun was belting down and all signs of cloud had vanished!

Just look at the bright, green colours as the leaves bounce back to life.

Guess, what's in bloom?  My Bancshire Roses - not for long, which makes me sad, but they make the garden look SO pretty!  I wish they'd flower all summer long!

Now I have a question for all you gardeners out there.  I bought 4 new Clivias and they look stunning.  I do have some in another spot in my garden and I was wondering - do they mind be transplanted?

Our pool is chrystal clear!  All we need now are the spring rains and we're on our way!

By nearly 5 pm I had finished!  I sat under the tree on our little bench and looked at my hard work!  I smelt the smell of freshly turned soil, the whisper of Honeysuckle still in the air!  My hands ached from turning the fork, and my arms were scratched from cutting away dead leaves and tidying up old branches!  My feet were dry from mud and water and I could feel the coolness of the wet lawn and beds!  I climbed into a hot shower - the water beat upon my sunburnt back - and it felt great!  Every ache, every twitch - it was SO worth it!
