Sad Day!

Before I start with Tuesday's Travels, I want to tell you that we have lost our beloved Guinea Fowl, Vinegar! She was fine on Friday night, and on Saturday morning, P found a whole pile of feathers at the bottom of our drive-way. We suspect that one of the locals walking past saw her, and thought she would make a better dish that pet, and took her away! She definitely was not taken out by an animal as there was no mess - just a pile of feathers, which she probably lost trying to get away.

We had her for 9 years and although she wasn't your usual kind of pet, she was loved and enjoyed by us all! Visitors were amazed and fascinated by her!

Poor old Holly has lost her VERY best friend :(

Ah - I am so sorry to hear about your loss! :( It must make you spitting mad - the cheek of people. There's a field near here with lots and lots of guinea fowl. One missing from that lot wouldn't have made much difference but when you've had only two .. and for so long, it's not right. Not to say it's right to take anything that belongs to anyone .. but you know what I mean.

Oh, so sorry. Could an animal have caught her and taken her somewhere else to eat? Maybe the feathers were from the fight she put up. I hate to think about a person catching her and taking her home.

That is horrible. Do you call the police for that kind of thing?

I feel so sad for you!

Its infuriating to think somebody just walked by and "birdnapped" her.
