Daffodils!

"I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host of golden daffodils;

Ever since I first learnt that poem way back when I was in Grade 7, I have always loved Daffodils - I love the bright yellow faces and the way they move silently in the spring breeze! They're a sign that new life is about to start! With their gentle, quiet look they welcome spring and remind us of hope and life and love.

It was while reading Veronica's blog that I first heard about Daffodil day and what it means to cancer patients, the research that is done and the support given to the cancer patients and their families. I stopped off at the florist on my way home and bought some daffodils, to remind me of how lucky my family are not to have falled victim to this cruel disease and to remember those who have.

On Saturday morning, Stacey and I went to see "My Sister's Keeper" - it was a very real reminder of how cruel the disease is and how far a mother will go to fight for her child's health! My love goes out to all those who have suffered and won the battle and to the families of those who lost!
