Treat!

“Tale as old as time,
True as it can be.
Barely even friends,
Then somebody bends,
Unexpectedly!”

Our best treat this Halloween week-end was going to see the Broadway, smash hit musical “Beauty and the Beast” at the Teatro Monte Casino. It’s by far the best production I have seen. The costumes, the acting, and the music – everything was of such a high standard. They managed to capture the hearts of the audience and bring out all kinds of emotions!

Philip bought me the CD and a Beauty and the Beast charm bracelet!

There was a little bit of everything – it was touching and humorous, we were afraid and angry!! The special effects were amazing. It was entertaining and fun!

This show was especially special to me as Anton Luitingh (an ex pupil of mine – I taught him in Grade 2) portrayed the part of the Beast and he was fantastic.

It was everything and more than we expected. It was magical, a good old fashioned love story showing that true love overcomes all obstacles and the beauty really is in the eye of the beholder!

After the show we met up with Anton and Duane, who was also in the show! We had drinks at the Mugg & Bean and had a good few laughs catching up on all the news. We met little Benjamin Hack who played the part of Chip too – he was adorable!

It was a fantastic end to an enchanted evening!
