Twenty One today!
Friday, 24th April dawned warm and sunny - most unusual as the day before had been cold and the weather ALWAYS turns on Stacey's birthday! She was writing two exams that morning and didn't have time to dilly dally opening presents so decided to wait until she came home for lunch! She did request pancakes for breakfast though - home baked with lots of lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar!
I had a bit of running around to do in the morning, but when I got home, set the table and got the smoked salmon and creme fraiche ready for eating - her second request for the day. And of course the bottle of pink Moet e Chandon - what a fabulous combination!
Yummy lunch time treats! WOW! Love the roses!
French Champage - the perfect way for a special celebration
YEHA! Lucky Fish!
After a lovely lunch, Stacey opened her birthday presents. My word, was she spoilt! And what beautiful birthday cards. I have NEVER seen such a variety! And the phone just did not stop ringing ... from all over the world!
Of all the birthstones in the world, only Stacey could choose the diamond month! LOL! Philip and I bought her a lovely pair of diamond studs for her ears for her birthday. I had them wrapped up in a big box full of fluffy, shiny, pink stuff! Her face was a treat when she opened the box - she LOVED them!
What a wonderfully, happy day! Full of celebrations and lots of laughs. A little later in the afternoon, Alex arrived from Durban which created a whole lot more joy and all too quickly we were having to get ready for the great party ... more about that tomorrow!
Happy Days!
